The One Ornament

So many asked about "the one" as I worked on my collection of 99 sheep, and this ornament is my answer to that question.  This special piece completes The 99 Collection, celebrating the truth that every soul matters to Him, but leaves a work to be done by each one of us.
 
The image is drawn from my Easter painting Behold the Lamb,
where the risen Savior holds a white lamb close, His eyes filled with both joy and tears.
I chose it because it tells the full story:
Jesus is not only the Shepherd who finds the one,
He is also the Lamb of God who came to this earth as a tiny baby, and gave His life to bring us home.
 
This ornament brings the message of Easter into Christmas.  It is a
a gentle reminder of why He came,
and the joy He feels when each one of us is found.
 
May it remind you this season that you are the one He loves,
and that we are each called to help Him reach “the one” still waiting to be found.

or anyone who needs the reminder
that they are known, loved, and never forgotten.
