I tried to create this depiction of motherhood for quite a few weeks, but every time I even thought about it I felt blank and exhausted.

When I stated feeling desperate I decided I’d pull elements from some of my past pieces to see if that would help me find the direction I should go. Once I saw them all together I felt like it was actually perfect.

And honestly, that is exactly how being a mother is sometimes. There are definitely times of joy and love so great that I can hardly handle it. But there are also times I feel blank and exhausted and have no idea what to give. So I pull from those who came before: my own mother, my Savior, the scriptures, and countless amazing examples God has given me throughout my life.

Each time I break through the seasons and moments of exhaustion, tears, fear, and not knowing what to do other than putting one piece in front of the other - I’m again greeted with the greatest kind of love and joy I have ever experienced and unending gratitude for this refining, essential role I have been called to.

Framed canvas is a beautiful 1.5" stretched canvas in a white float frame 
 
Smaller prints are mailed in a protective stay-flat envelope
Large prints are rolled and mailed in a heavy duty mailing tube.
